According to CSNWashington.com, the Washington Redskins will be going with Rex Grossman over Donovan McNabb at quarterback this Sunday against the host Dallas Cowboys.
The Redskins lockeroom is divided and guys are extremely upset,” CSNWashington.com’s Kelli Johnson said.
If true, the move shouldn’t come to much of a surprise since FOXSports.com’s Jay Glazer said last week that McNabb was on a short leash coming into the Tampa Bay game.
Personnel sources said McNabb’s passing mechanics have really regressed in recent weeks. And mechanics for a quarterback really can’t be changed or adjusted much until the offseason. McNabb’s footwork and release point have been the main issues, sources said.
The Washington Post later confirmed that the Redskins are planning to go with Grossman this week.
