BCS Championship Game: Auburn vs. Oregon

A lot of fans are expecting a very high combined score for these two teams, but we don’t think that’s going to happen. Oregon is a top-25 team in total defense and No. 14 in scoring defense. The Ducks give up an average 18.4 points per game while Auburn’s defense gives up 24.5. Expect the Ducks to start out slow (as usual) and Auburn to try and capitalize on some stalled drives in the first half. The second half should be all Ducks, as the Tigers won’t be able to contain the speed of Oregon’s attack.

 Final score: Oregon 35, Auburn 24.

 

 

 

 

Laker fans loose their minds……again!

The L.A. Laker fans just don’t know how to celebrate, but hey what do you expect it’s L.A!!

 

Kobe doesn’t need Diesel he has Gasol….. Lakers win 15th Title!!

The Los Angeles Lakers complete the quest for the NBA Championship and take the series from Orlando 4-1 with a 99-86 victory. Kobe Bryant scored 30, Lamar Odom who had some spectacular plays during the game,  added 17 pts, no one for Orlando had more than 18 points, Defensive Player of the Year Dwight Howard only had 11 points to end a very disappointing Finals run. The key to the game was in the second quarter when the Lakers went on a 16-2 run to put the game out of reach,they outscored Orlando 30-18 in that quarter and that proved to be the deciding factor in the game.

Derek Fisher & Kobe Bryant join Shaq  & Tim Duncan as the only active players with 4 rings, L.A coach Phil Jackson collected his 10th ring as a coach and 12th  ring overall as coach/player, he surpasses the legendary Red Auerbach as  NBA Finals winningest coach.

Championship for the Huskies!!!

The U.W. Women’s softball team claim the NCAA National Championship yesterday with a thrilling 3-2 victory over the Florida Lady Gators. The college player of the year Danielle Lawrie gave up 2 early runs in the first inning, then she shut the  Lady Gators down the rest of the way. This is the first softball championship for U.W. sixth national title overall for the University of Washington, and for the Pac-10 this is the 21st time they have claimed the National title out of 27 tries, UCLA has 11, Arizona has 8, A.S.U and U.W now have 1 each……….Congrats to the Huskies!!!

The U.W. Women’s Softball team is only one win away from claiming the 2009 NCAA Women’s Softball Championship, they smacked the Florida Gators (63-4) around yesterday 8-0. Danielle Lawrie led the Huskies (50-12) with a dominant 2-hit, 12k’s ,7 inning shut-out. The University of Washington will play game two this evening at 5pm (pst.)
