Texas A&M coach Kevin Sumlin, a giant celebrity in the college football world, is also a music fan. So when presented with an opportunity to hang out Rick Ross in Miami, Sumlin apparently brought the party, along with former Aggies quarterback Johnny Manziel.
Stalley, a member of Ross’ Maybach Music Group, was on ESPN’s Highly Questionable this week with Dan LeBatard and Bomani Jones. As a Ohio native and self-described Cleveland sports fan, he was asked if he had been partying with Manziel.
“I don’t know if I should say this but…” Stalley said. “When he was still at Texas A&M, Ross had a party in Miami. I forget what it was for, maybe for the release of his album, it might have just been a party, and it was around the time when there was some bowl games going on. Johnny Manziel and his coach came to the party and they was just hanging out basically. It was a good time.”
Stalley proceeded to say that Sumlin was “the life of the party” and the Texas A&M coach was a fan of the artists on the MMG label.
